The producer behind the camera.
Ryan Macaluso runs Automaton Studios out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He’s spent 8 years as a professional video producer, handling everything from concept and shooting to color and final edit for commercial clients, motorsport venues, and live events.
Alongside the production work, Ryan has spent 11 years building and flying FPV drones, coming up through the racing and freestyle scene and flying as a sponsored freestyle FPV pilot. That flight time is where Automaton Studios’ aerial division comes from — years of building rigs and learning to fly them precisely before ever pointing one at a paying job.
The two sides run together: the production instincts to know what a shot needs, and the flying skill to actually get it, whether that’s a locked-off interview setup or a drone threading through a gap at speed.
